Division on Civil Rights Proposes to Readopt Rules Governing Display of Official Posters
Date of Proposal: April 18, 2011
Proposal Number: PRN 2011-096
Proposal Content:
The proposal would readopt Division on Civil Rights rules pertaining to the display of the official posters of the Division. The rules proposed for readoption set forth the requirements for employers, housing providers and owners of places of public accommodation to display notices concerning rights and responsibilities under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) and the New Jersey Family Leave Act. The notices are contained in the official posters of the Division, which are available for downloading and printing from the agency’s Web site, www.njcivilrights.gov . The Division has recently modified the posters to reflect changes in the agency’s Web address and contact information for the agency’s regional offices. The proposed readoption appears in the April 18, 2011 edition of the New Jersey Register.
Summary of Proposal:
A summary of the proposed readoption with amendments is posted on the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights Web site at: www.nj.gov/oag/dcr/proposed_rules.html
Public Comment:
Public comment on the proposed rules will be accepted until June 17, 2011.
