Internship Opportunities


The Bureau is always looking for volunteers/fellows and interns who are interested in joining the Bureau. We encourage you to submit your current résumé, cover letter, and transcript to Amy.Kopleton@lps.state.nj.us.  In your cover letter, please indicate the semester for which you are applying​.

Available Positions

School Year Interns:
15-20 hours per week. Open to all law and business school students. Interns will assist in both securities enforcement and corporate finance matters. Examples of activities typically performed by interns include: (1) assisting in the investigation of alleged violations of the New Jersey securities law; (2) drafting administrative and civil pleadings, orders, no-action letters, affidavits, subpoenas, and other documents; (3) conducting research; and (4) reviewing private placements and public securities offerings.

Summer Interns:
8-12 weeks. Open to all law and business school students. Interns will assist in both securities enforcement and corporate finance matters. Examples of activities typically performed by interns include: (1) assisting in the investigation of alleged violations of the New Jersey securities law; (2) drafting administrative and civil pleadings, orders, no-action letters, affidavits, subpoenas, and other documents; (3) conducting research; and (4) reviewing private placements and public securities offerings.

Volunteer/Fellowship​​:
Law school graduates may apply to volunteer at the Bureau. Additionally, the Bureau can take placements from law schools which offer fellowship programs. Volunteers and Fellows will assist in both securities enforcement and corporate finance matters.  Examples of activities typically performed by fellows include: (1) assisting in the investigation of alleged violations of the New Jersey securities law; (2) drafting administrative and civil pleadings, orders, no-action letters, affidavits, subpoenas, and other documents; (3) conducting research; and (4) reviewing private placements and public securities offerings​.
