Internship

Internship

The New Jersey Division of Law offers law students the opportunity to serve an internship during their Fall or Spring Semesters or during their Summer breaks. If accepted into the program, students will be assigned to one of the Division’s sections, where they will be supervised by a Deputy Attorney General. An Assistant Attorney General will have overall supervision of the program.

During their internship, students will perform a full range of law clerk responsibilities, including research and writing and will have the opportunity to observe a wide range of lawyering activity. Students participating in the program will also attend court proceedings, meetings with clients, depositions and other special events. They will also be eligible to participate in training sessions offered to Deputy Attorneys General throughout the year.

Assignments to specific sections are made based upon student interest.
