New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, with a coalition of 22 other attorneys general, filed a motion for preliminary injunction in New York v. Trump, the ongoing lawsuit challenging actions by President Trump, the Office of Management and Budget, and federal agencies that attempted to pause or withhold nearly $3 trillion in federal assistance funding allocated to the states that support critical programs and services that benefit the American people.

New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and a coalition of 19 attorneys general today sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, urging the Senate to require Kash Patel, President Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, to return for further questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The request follows alarming reports of politically motivated firings at the FBI and efforts to compile a list of agents involved in investigating the January 6th Capitol riots.

Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced today that the adoption of the Alternative Responses to Reduce Instances of Violence and Escalation (ARRIVE) Together program in Brick Township and Toms River Township makes the landmark program available to residents of the state’s 15 most populous municipalities. Both police departments will partner with Bright Harbor Healthcare for the provision of mental health services during ARRIVE interactions with the public. According to 2020 census data, Brick has a population of more than 73,000 residents and Toms River has more than 95,000 residents.
