Safe Kits

Attorney General Platkin strengthened New Jersey’s commitment to victim-centered practices and policies by amending a directive to mandate that all SAFE kits be processed immediately if the victim consents. The amended Directive further requires that all existing SAFE kits that have been collected by law enforcement be submitted to the State’s forensic laboratory for analysis by December 31, 2025.
