Meet the Acting Director

Deputy Attorney General (“DAG”) Kelly E. Levy is the Acting Director of the Office of the New Jersey Coordinator of Addiction Responses and Enforcement Strategies (“NJ CARES”). Former Director, Assistant Attorney General Sharon M. Joyce stepped down from the position on September 24, 2021 after being appointed by former Attorney General Gurbir Grewal at the inception of the creation of the office in February 2018.

DAG Levy has been a part of NJ CARES since June 2018.  Prior to joining NJ CARES, she represented the Division of Law in child/abuse and neglect matters and investigated and prosecuted cases for the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor.

DAG Levy is a graduate of Hunter College and holds a JD from Rutgers-Newark School of Law.
