Attorney General Platkin Co-Leads Coalition Suing Trump Administration Over Illegal Conditions Placed on Billions in Federal Funding

Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin co-led a coalition of 20 attorneys general in filing two separate lawsuits challenging the Trump Administration’s illegal attempts to withhold billions in federal funding for law enforcement, counterterrorism, emergency services, disaster preparation and relief, and repairs to crumbling transportation infrastructure.

AG Platkin and DEP Commissioner LaTourette Announce Historic Settlement of Up to $450 Million with 3M for Statewide PFAS Contamination

New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Shawn M. LaTourette announced a landmark settlement of up to $450 million with 3M to resolve the State’s 2019 lawsuits and a Statewide Directive to address damage to the State’s water and other natural resources from dangerous chemicals known as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), also commonly referred to as “forever chemicals.”

AG Platkin Joins Bipartisan Effort Demanding Answers from WeChat

Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin joined a bipartisan coalition of six attorneys general demanding answers from WeChat over concerns that the Chinese messaging app is a key enabler of fentanyl trafficking and illegal money laundering in the United States.

1) How to file a domestic violence restraining order; 2) resources for domestic violence victims; and 3) petitioning the court to dissolve the no contact order for defendants/juveniles released from custody due to public health emergency credits.
