VCCO-Covid-19 Resources

Covid-19 Resources

As we combat the spread of COVID-19, help for victims is still always available, 24/7. While local authorities may limit public access to their buildings, they will not limit access to victims. If you have been the victim of a crime, please don’t hesitate to contact the police. They are still making arrests and victims can still file for Temporary Restraining Orders at any police station.

The Victims of Crime Compensation Office (VCCO) is not open to the public in order to protect the health and safety of all residents, but victims seeking to apply for compensation can do so online at www.njvictims.org or by calling 973-648-2107 (Prompt 4). Also, County Victim Witness Advocacy Offices are still operating to assist crime victims. If you need help, contact your local Prosecutor’s Office. Victims of domestic violence can also visit njcedv.org/covid19 for resources and victims of sexual violence can visit njcasa.org.

Pro bono legal service providers are still helping crime victims during the Covid-19 pandemic.
